Presenting Alex Sheremet's

Sheremet has authored one of the most comprehensive examinations of the complete cinema works of Woody Allen.

But his thorough text is only part of the full story. DigiDialogues are about the author inspiring a discourse between and amongst himself and his audience.

The Woody Allen:Reel to Real site is the vehicle to have Sheremet and his 'readers' further explore, expand and explain the theses he presents … wrapping the whole discussion up into the final eBook … which will be available a little later this year.

On this site one will find a combination of;

-Faithful summaries of the key chapters of the book.
-One key chapter of the book in it's entirety.
-Web-only content that through discussion will also be included in the final book.

All the content on the site is married to a dedicated 'Comment Box' to propagate the dialogue.

Please use it with abandon.

Here's a description of what can be found at the Reel to Real site;

Preface - This is an introduction to the Reel to Real content on the site. It is not included in the book … but any discussion it generates will be included.

Early - This is dedicated to the chapter in the eBook entitled 'The Early Funny Ones (1965 - 1976)'. It contains a faithful summary of the chapter.

Grownup - This is dedicated to the chapter in the eBook entitled 'Sitting At The Grownups Table (1977 - 1992)'. It contains a faithful summary of the chapter.

Success - This is dedicated to the chapter in the eBook entitled 'Successes And Attempts (1993 - 2004)'. It contains a faithful summary of the chapter.

Circles - This is dedicated to the chapter in the eBook entitled 'Circles And Asides (2005 - 2013)'. It contains a faithful summary of the chapter.

Actor - This is dedicated to the chapter in the eBook entitled 'Woody As An Actor'. It contains a faithful summary of the chapter.

Critics - This is dedicated to the chapter in the eBook entitled 'What's In A Name? Woody Allen's Six Major Critics'. It contains the complete chapter in its entirety.

PS - This is an area where Sheremet will post new content, whether it be reviews of newer films not discussed in the chapters, as well as other articles of interest that are perhaps generated by the discourse. It is not currently included in the book … but any discussion it generates will be included.

It must be acutely noted that this site, although faithful to the theses presented in the Sheremet book text, actually contains only 25% of his content in the ebook. The book itself will contain much more in depth analysis by Sheremet on all the aforementioned subjects … as well as the discussion this site engenders.

Look for it … later this year … but in the meantime, join the discussion and become part of the process.
